Hermann Göring — Deceased | WWII Matte Poster | 28 × 40″ | WAR ARCHIVE PNO1

HERMANN GÖRING — DECEASED. PORTRAIT NO.1

A stark reworking of an official portrait of Hermann Göring, commander-in-chief of the Luftwaffe and a leading figure in Nazi Germany. Göring was later tried at Nuremberg, found guilty on all four counts against him, and sentenced to death; he died by suicide in 1946 before the sentence was carried out.

WAR ARCHIVE strips the formality from the original portrait with a deliberately blunt red DECEASED treatment across the face.

Printed as a large-format 28 × 40 inch vertical matte poster.
